Journey-level members interested in taking a welding class at the Training Center should call the front office at 212-727-2224 to be placed on the wait list for these classes.

At this time registration via our website is not available.

Select apprenticeship programs have welding included in their curricula.

Do I need a referral?

We ask that General Carpenters (Locals 20, 45, 157, 926) wishing to take welding class kindly provide the office with a letter from their contractor explaining their need to take welding class.

Members of Locals 740 and 1556 DO NOT NEED this letter.

Please mail the referral letter to the school to the attention of Vincent Mattera or e-mail them to vmattera@nycdcctc.org. Letter must be on company letterhead and be signed by an owner/super/foreman/etc. It should include the member's name, UBC ID and why the company wishes to have said member trained in welding.
