Shop Stewards
Shop Stewards perform a critical service for the District Council and its membership. They are the District Council’s “eyes and ears” on job sites and the first line of defense to ensure that contractors are honoring their contractual obligations. The criteria to become a Certified Shop Steward is established by the District Council Bylaws, the Out of Work List rules and by the District Council’s Executive Committee.
