Apprentice Transfer Process

Apprentices transferring from outside jurisdictions who wish to join the NYC Carpenters Apprenticeship Program must contact the NYC Carpenters Training Center to schedule a Transfer Meeting with the Assistant Director.

You must have all of the following documents available before scheduling a meeting with the Assistant Director:

Required Documents

• Formal Request for Transfer (include reason for transfer)
• Work History
• Training History from prior training center
• ‘Good Standing’ Letter from prior training center
• Request that your training center put you in transfer status
