Effective January 1, 2022, the Carpenters International Training Fund (CITF) will have the following new rules in place for our Scaffold Qualification courses.
Scaffold Erector Qualification – Beginner 60 Hour and Accelerated 32 Hour
No future class sessions, the class titles will be retired in TRAIN.
Eliminate the existing one-year grace period.* (See note below)
Scaffold Erector Qualification – System, Tube & Clamp, and Welded Frame/Mobile Tower
No future class sessions, the class titles will be retired in TRAIN.
Existing non-expired System, Tube & Clamp, and Welded Frame/Mobile Tower qualifications will expire and drop off.
Scaffold Erector Qualification – Standard 40 Hour
Eliminate the existing one-year grace period.* (See note below)
Scaffold Qualification Refresher
Students may take this class to refresh the Beginner 60 hour, Accelerated 32 Hour, and Standard 40 Hour.
Eliminate the existing one-year grace period.* (See note below)
Scaffold Qualification Train the Trainer
Eliminate the existing one-year grace period.* (See note below)
Scaffold Qualification Train the Trainer Refresher
No longer taught at local training centers, all instructors must take this class at the International Training Center (ITC).
Eliminate the existing one-year grace period.* (See note below)
*Note: The CITF will honor the current grace period for Scaffold Erector Qualification and Scaffold Qualification Train the Trainer until December 31, 2022. However, the member or instructor must attend a refresher within the original grace period. For example, if a member’s current grace period ends on March 31, 2022, they cannot participate in a refresher after this date.
