NYC Fire Department (FDNY) Certificate of Fitness Renewals
NYC Fire Department (FDNY) offers online renewal of all Certificate of Fitness Renewals. Renewals can be done online on the FDNY website and following the instructions. IMPORTANT: Expired certifications of one year or more will NOT be renewed.
Additionally, FDNY Metrotech is still open for exams and they are located at 9 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY 11201
American Welding Society Certifications
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The American Welding Society (AWS) will extend certifications on a by case-by-case basis. Members must meet the following criteria:
- Members need to be current.
- Certifications cannot be expired.
IMPORTANT: During this time, AWS will NOT send updated credentials to individuals who receive an extension. The only proof of certification status for these individuals will be QuikCheck.
If you need additional proof of certification to verify your current status, you may request a Certification Status letter from AWS. Please send an email with your complete First and Last name, your certification number, or your Member ID.
