Re: CITF Qualification/Certification Expiration Date Extension
The CITF’s primary concern is and will continue to be our members and their eligibility to work and provide for themselves and their families. All of us are in uncharted territory with handling the ramifications of the COVID 19 outbreak. We are aware that social distancing has led to a temporary suspension of training sessions here at the ITC as well as local areas, which prevents updating the qualifications and certifications needed to be on the jobsite. To counteract the effects of this, the CITF will be extending the qualification and certification credentials run through CITF for up to ninety days for those that are set to expire during the hopefully short duration of closures. We will monitor the situation and reevaluate every thirty days and make further decisions as required. This extension will include Rigging and Building Envelope Certifications.
Note: Kirby Morgan Hat Technician is not controlled by the CITF and cannot be extended.
We will continue to keep you updated as much as we can as the need arises.
Thank you for your cooperation.
