ALL MEMBERS PLEASE BE ADVISED
As a requirement of Local Law 196 of 2017, workers at job sites must have a total of 30 hours of safety training by December 1, 2019 and a total of 40 hours by September 2020. Supervisors must have 62 hours of training by December 1, 2019.
We are recommending all members who have not graduated from an approved NYSDOL Apprenticeship Program within the past 5 years complete an OSHA 30hour safety training course.
A limited site safety card (OSHA 30 Card) WILL be required to work on construction sites in NYC starting December 1, 2019.
MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
- OSHA 30-Hour Class;
You may enroll for OSHA 30 at the Carpenters Training Center.
