Rules Acknowledgements

1. 100% PPE is required in the shops at all times. This includes hardhats, safety glasses, gloves, and boots.

2. In case of an evacuation, all students will report to the muster point for roll call. The muster point is posted in your training center.

3. Students leaving the premises during lunch break must use the sign-out sheet at the office.

4. Students are not permitted in the shop spaces unless accompanied by an instructor, this includes breaks, lunch, and after hours.

5. Harassment of any form will not be tolerated. Everyone must adhere to professional behavior at all times.

6. No firearms, weapons, aerosol self-defense sprays, illicit drugs, alcohol, marijuana (prescribed or not) is allowed on NASCTF property, including parking lots. If evidence of these items is found on the property, disciplinary action will follow. This is a Zero Tolerance Policy.

7. Recreational equipment such as skateboards, rollerblades, hover boards, etc. are not permitted on school property.

8. Smoking: The ONLY place to smoke tobacco is at the smoking designated area of your training center. This includes all tobacco products and vaping devices.

9. All students must be fit for duty. Students must be able to fully participate in their training each day. Illness, failure to stay awake, improper work attire, influence of medications or other substances, whether prescribed or not, will constitute being unfit for duty, and you will be rescheduled. This includes wearing the proper uniform, footwear, and PPE.

10. Attendance will be taken at 7:00am SHARP every day of the training week. Students must be in their classroom before the end of the bell, otherwise be considered late. Late arrivals must report to the office to sign in.

11. School uniform: Apprentices must wear the required uniform.

12. Toolboxes should only be brought into the building through the appropriate shop door.

13. Toolbox check will be done on the first day of training, students should have all the tools needed for their scheduled class.

14. A locking toolbox is recommended. NASCTF is not responsible for loss or theft of tools.

15. Safeguard valuables such as cell phone, portable computers, gaming stations, etc. NASCTF is not responsible for theft or loss. Found items should be brought to the main office.

16. Do not take anything from a classroom or instructor’s desk/podium.

17. Cell phone use is prohibited during training hours except at the scheduled break times.

18. Please help keep all areas of the training center clean. Put trash in receptacles, wipe up spills and pick up nails and screws. With the exception of bottled water, food and beverages are not allowed in the shops or classrooms.
